The Summit will be closed with the official launch of the first Chair in African Philanthropy, featuring a welcome from Professor Alan Fowler, who has been appointed visiting professor for the Chair and is responsible for establishing its profile and programme. He will be followed by remarks from the formidable Joyce Malombe, who considers why a Chair in African philanthropy is important, drawing from her more than 25 years of work across the continent and beyond.
